Volunteering at Eagleville Hospital |
Each year volunteers give more than 10,000 hours of their time to Eagleville Hospital. Caring people comfort patients during the admissions process, share their love of learning, help improve the hospital grounds, operate the Campus Store, and perform enormous amounts of clerical work. The volunteer efforts at Eagleville are greatly appreciated and needed.
Working side by side with hospital staff in both clinical and administrative areas, Eagleville volunteers give something to the hospital and the community that no one else can give--their free time. Eagleville offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, and the Volunteer Coordinator will be more than happy to work with interested volunteers to match their interests with our needs.
Admissions Clerk
Relief telephone coverage, weekdays.
Clothing Distribution Center Aides
Sort and hang clothing in patients’ free clothing store. Help patients
select needed clothing.
Literacy Tutors/GED Teachers
Prepare students for GED examinations and tutor remedial math and
English courses.
Campus Store Clerks
Operate a small store for patients, selling candy, cards and assorted
toiletries.
Data Entry Aides/Clerical Aides
Assist various departments with filing, typing, mailings, data entry and
duplicating activities.
Drivers
Drive patients in hospital van to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics
Anonymous meetings; drive other volunteers who do not have
transportation to Eagleville.
Groups/Individuals (Musical, Dance or Choral)
Perform or participate occasionally/regularly in campus events and
activities.
