Message from the Board of Directors

Eagleville Foundation, Eagleville Hospital and Riverside Care, Inc. Taken from the Eagleville Hospital 2005 Annual Report

“As the need for behavioral health treatment continues to rise, Eagleville Hospital and its sister agency, Riverside Care, Inc., have become increasingly recognized as leaders in the field. During fiscal year 2005, our facilities served more than 6,000 individuals, reinforcing their reputations as important providers of high quality care.”

“Our patient base increased dramatically. We experienced a 34 percent increase in admissions outside our home region, expanding our service area into the Lehigh Valley, Pocono region, and parts of northern New Jersey. Overall, admissions increased 24 percent compared with the prior year.”

“Eagleville responded to community demand by increasing the number of non-hospital short term and detoxification beds. Our hospital and non-hospital dual diagnosis programs (co-occurring mental illness, physical illness and addiction) experienced 90 percent occupancy. Demand for high quality treatment that addresses physical, mental, educational and vocational needs of patients will undoubtedly lead to further expansion of services offered by Eagleville Hospital and Riverside Care, Inc.”

“The work of Eagleville Hospital and Riverside Care, Inc. will continue to take us farther into the communities that surround us. With your much appreciated support, and the support of the Eagleville board of directors, staff, alumni, partners, friends and volunteers, we will keep working to overcome challenges as they arise, and to sustain our mission of providing the highest quality patient care. As we approach the hospital’s 100th anniversary in 2009, we look to the future as we continue to build upon a rich history of service.”
